Shelley – RDH
About: Shelley grew up in Calgary from a young age through to high school graduation. During those years Shelley was a patient of Dr. Chipeur and staff here at Northland Smiles. She has always enjoyed visits to the office and Heather inspired and encouraged Shelley into pursuing a dental hygiene career.
Education: The University of Alberta is where Shelley completed her dental hygiene degree. In Edmonton, she began working at a dental office doing sterilization while in school and continued as a hygienist after completing her board exams. For the past three years, Shelley has been working as a hygienist in Grande Prairie. Returning to Calgary after many years has been a joy and she looks forward to working with staff and patients here!
Fun: Shelley’s main hobby is travelling. Her most recent trip was to New Zealand. She also enjoys watching movies. And eating new foods in the new places she goes to. She has been to over 20 countries, and there are still many more places to see!
Lynn – RDH
Lynn is a registered dental hygienist. Lynn graduated as a dental assistant in 1980 then as a dental hygienist I 1984 from Confederation College in Thunder Bay, ON.
Lynn has worked as a clinical hygienist in Ontario, Manitoba and since 1989 in Calgary, Alberta. She enjoys the variety that a general dental practice offers. She enjoys attending continuing education courses to keep on top of all the new and progressive dental advancements occurring in the dental field.
When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and two grown children. She also enjoys the outdoors, fitness, reading and a variety of crafts.
